A Change Gon' Come: The Sam Cooke Story", the story of legendary soul and gospel singer, Sam Cooke as told by Nat George. In July, 2007, at the Rialto Theater in Atlanta, Mr. George, a Mobile native and Blount High Alumnus, premiered his reality showing of this once idolized crooner, who met an untimely and very controversial demise in December of 1964. The 1960's marked a significant shift in America's consciousness. The rise to fame and fall from favor of an African American had the life span and significance of a shooting star. Through his re-telling of the story, George shows us that all life is significant.
He memorializes the essence of storytelling, by keeping the life and music of this once venerable singer, songwriter and producer alive.
